Unleash Your True Potential
Why Seek Counselling or Psychotherapy?
Counselling and psychotherapy offer a professional helping relationship in which the therapist uses both their personal presence and professional skills to support clients in living more fulfilling and meaningful lives. This work takes place through open dialogue and within the therapeutic relationship that develops between client and therapist.
For this reason, the “fit” between client and therapist is essential. Feeling understood, respected, and safe allows the work to unfold at a pace that feels right for you.
If you are seeking a therapeutic relationship grounded in kindness, warmth, humour, and insight, you are very welcome to get in touch.
I take time to clearly explain the therapeutic process and encourage questions at every stage. The direction of the work is discussed and agreed collaboratively, so both client and therapist have a shared understanding of how we are working together and what to expect along the way.
ABOUT ME
I am a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). I hold a B.Sc. (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, awarded with Distinction, along with a B.A. (Mod) in Business Studies and Economics from Trinity College Dublin and an M.Sc. in Business Finance. Prior to training as a therapist, I spent 25 years working as a trader in the financial markets within investment banking and fund management.
I welcome clients with warmth, kindness, humour, and insight, placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of my work. I value mutual respect and the development of trust as essential foundations for meaningful therapeutic change. My approach is primarily humanistic, focusing on personal experience, potential, responsibility, and the search for meaning in one’s life.
I have experience working with grief, suicide bereavement, intimate partner violence (domestic abuse), relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, eating-related issues, and issues around sexuality.
I work collaboratively with clients, sharing decision-making and tailoring therapy to the individual. I am deeply passionate about the capacity of therapy to support healing, growth, and lasting positive change.
I have completed additional training in Suicide Intervention Skills, Understanding Self-Harm, Complicated Grief, Suicide Bereavement, and Working Professionally Online.
